A Few of My Healthy Clients
As the program manager of the Employee Engagement department at ACTIVE Network it’s essential that I provide programming that is approachable and supportive for all of the employees at ACTIVE. “All” being key. Whether it’s a well-versed nutritionally sound employee or someone with very little knowledge or nutritional knowhow, creating an environment where everyone can learn and pursue their Best Life is fundamental. Alix provided this. She presented an educational seminar on nutrition that was easily understood and inclusive of all levels of understanding, creating key take-aways that empowered the attendees with easy-to-apply nutrition essentials. She presented herself in very personable manner, even her attire communicated her laid-back but professional approach to living a healthy life. Not to mention, her seminar has been our most highly attended lunch-and-learn yet. I’m excited to continue partnering with Alix in the future. I know the employees of ACTIVE are too. Thank you Alix.”
Alix helped us tremendously with our celiac/gluten free child. We were challenged with getting the nutrients that a gluten free child was lacking due to the diet restrictions. We tracked daily meals and Alix would provide feedback with healthier substitutions which included more protein options for our very active daughter. Alix sent us easy and yummy recipes along with many healthier suggestions for the not so healthy things we were consuming. We loved working with her!
Alix has been fantastic to work with. She really listens to your goals and comes up with a plan that’s realistic and flexible but also built on the foundations of building health, not chasing diet fads or trends. She doesn’t just tell you what to do, she guides you through learning what works for you and what doesn’t, and how to incorporate what you learn into your day to day life. I really can’t recommend her enough, her approach is breath of fresh air.
Alix proved to be what I needed to help jump start a strength training program. The workouts were challenging but doable – and yes I was sore! As a nutritionist she is great. Changing my level of healthy fats and proteins- eating in a way I would never have figured out was tremendous. She helped get rid of the “hangry’s”. The best was that she is just a text away and responds so quickly when I would get in a dark spot- and want to eat for emotional reasons. We can all work on changing our habits- but that strong emotional support is vital. I am 66 years old and it is never too late to change.
I’ve had the great opportunity to work with Alix twice over the last five years! Both times remotely. She reads my daily food diary online and has given me wonderful insight on my diet and how to re-adjust it. I’ve learned so much from her and highly recommend her as a nutritionist and coach!
We work with people with intellectual and physical disabilities. Alix spoke to our group (parents of adult children with special needs and those with physical disabilities). Her talk was informative, easily understood, but most importantly, easy to implement. She helped them understand the basics of nutrition and answered many questions specific to our groups unique needs.
I have known Alix for 5+ years and she has managed to change my life. Most of my old habits (in large measure bad habits of depriving myself) are gone and I feel 100% better than I ever have. I have learned how to live with healthy delicious eating choices (Alix’s recipes are how we roll in our house), a variety of exercise that works for me, and sound sleep almost every night. I know that I will continue to live this wonderful way for the rest of my life because I know the alternative sucks (and makes me feel awful). I have recommended countless friends to Alix and they all thank me for the referral. Thank you Alix for helping me healthily grow older. Signed Alix’s biggest fan!
