Good Morning!!

I hope you’re finding some peace this weekend – I know most schools have started back and this time of year can be crazy. Gentle reminder to breathe deeply (at least before your meals) to remind your body that it’s safe.

I’m sharing another podcast today – this one from Andrew Huberman – as a reminder, he’s a Neuro Scientist at Stanford. And yes, he’s caught some bad press around his personal life, recently. I have no idea what’s true and what isn’t. What I do know is – he’s great at his profession and I still find him to be very educational. And for these purposes – that’s what matters.

I digress…

Did you see my ā€œSubject Lineā€ today? …if you missed it:

šŸŽ¶ This One’s For The Girls šŸŽ¶

Do you have the Martina McBride song stuck in your head now? šŸ˜‰ Sorry, couldn’t help myself. And if you have no idea what I’m talking about – click that link above.

Today’s share is more female-centric. That doesn’t mean the men here shouldn’t give it a listen, perhaps in the company of your female partner. I believe strongly that the better educated we are about our partners – what they go through in their bodies, etc – the more our relationships can thrive.

Huberman interviews Dr, Stacy Sims who has PROFOUND knowledge on the female body – our hormones, how we should be working out to best support our cycles, how we are not just ā€œsmallā€ men, etc, etc.

I first learned about her when I was racing triathlon – I’ve been following her for many years. She’s been influential in the way I care for my own body and I use some of her coaching tactics in my own practice with clients.

She shares a lot of info in this podcast. I do wish she dug more into the nuance – you’ll understand that more once you listen – but I believe you’ll walk away feeling affirmed and validated in some of the choices you make for your self-care that push against what society tells us. She also offers some helpful takeaways.

Per usual with Huberman, it’s a long listen – 2:30 hours or so. But worth your time. Hence my sharing here.

I’m always here for clarifications and questions!

Sending a big hug and another reminder to BREATHE!

xoxo
